On August 18th, the inauguration of Warehouse 5 was officially held in Binh Duong, presided over by TBS Logistics (under TBS Group) and APL Logistics (APLL, headquartered in Singapore).
With a total area of 47,500 m2, Warehouse 5 is considered the largest single-roof container freight terminal (CFS) in APLL’s current logistics warehouse network in South East Asia. Leaders of TBS Group – TBS Logistics and APLL, the Chairman of People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province, Commune Party Committee leaders – People’s Committee of Di An Town, the departments of Binh Duong province and many partners, customers as well as representatives of central and local press, television and media agencies were all on hand to celebrate the grand opening.
As a large-scale warehouse, warehouse 5 (as well as the entire warehouse system of TBS Logistics) is located on the border of three key economic zones of the Southern region in Vietnam: Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City. The advantages of the Golden Triangle area, featuring an extremely convenient location for waterway and road transportation, will benefit Warehouse 5 in particular and the TBS Logistics warehouse system in general. Current options include being able to flexibly circulate goods not only in the region, but also extended to the system of international deep-water ports of the Cai Mep – Thi Vai group. These options help minimize transportation/logistics costs and increase competitive advantages for customers.
In addition to the impressive issues in area, Warehouse 5 also stands out as one of the few warehouses in Vietnam equipped with environmentally friendly technology. For example, the light-absorbing system is able to cut down on energy consumption and a surrounding greenery system is planned. Moreover, with 58 gates for importing and exporting goods at the same time, average daily output is 8,000 cubic meters, and can reach an significant 15,000 cubic meters on peak days.
