TBS Group aims to recruit 45,000 employees

As one of 10 key industries and having joined the ASEAN Economic Community, the Vietnam’s leather and footwear industry is aiming to increase its labour human resources to meet the needs of the upcoming development.

After 25 years of innovation and development in the international fashion industry, TBS Group has attracted more than 36,000 employees. As TBS plans to meet the growing demand for larger orders and more complex quality requirements from fashion partners, the attraction, management, and development of high-quality human resources are a top concern of the corporation.

The current situation of the labour market in Vietnam has been unbalanced in recent years, in both redundancy and lack of a high quality labour force. So far, it has failed to meet the recruitment criteria in the industry regarding professional knowledge, skills, foreign languages, and industrial style.

Our mission: to actively train and develop quality resources

By 2020, TBS needs to attract 45,000 sustainable workers to meet the needs of business expansion and expansion of the entire system. This is an enormous challenge for the corporation in the context of intense”gray matter”competition, which requires leaders to have the vision and strategic orientation to successfully develop human resources in the future.

Therefore, the company has always been open-minded to welcoming new talent, and active in searching, training and developing human resources. Recently, TBS Group has signed a cooperation contract with Hinrich Foundation, an affiliate of international education, to sponsor 14 scholarships totalling nearly 80,000 USD for undergraduate and graduate students. Based on the talent selection criteria, TBS will select candidates and provide them with confidence and unique opportunities. The company provides a full scholarship package, practical experience via internships, and post-training opportunities in a professional TBS environment.

TBS is also working to create alternative opportunities for high achievers at regional universities. There is a USD 74,000 sponsorship package for the National University to invest in the Product Design Research and Development Division, and a USD 56,000 scholarship package for the Vietnamese-German Studies program, specializing in Global Engineering and Management. TBS also plans to further strengthen and expand scholarship packages in the upcoming 2018 period. TBS is also actively approaching students through Career Day Programs and Internship Programs.

In parallel, to strengthen the personnel structure and increase the loyalty of existing workers, many skill training programs from managerial levels are used for staff and professional skill development for the force. Workers are being deployed vigorously along with adjusting the policy structure and allocating the interests of the corporation to each HR person.
